I finally got my match in against Otterbee. I won on Kargad.

Hurray! One match left to go, and then we can move on to the next round.

Capt, Hyo... any word on when you're playing? It's been nearly a month since Hyo's post.

I lost to YO tonight on Eusia - something like 8500 (me) to 7300 (YO).

I got stuck on the S island and couldn't get out. I was managing to pluck his creatures away with the Hardrock Dragon I had on my mini-loop attempt to get back to the north section of the map, but he was able to roll back onto the empty level four land and take the victory. YO WHAT IS THIS had some good rolls at the end for sure, and it was really interesting playing identical decks. Good luck to you YO and all else left in this tourney.

Captain and Hyo, any word on your match? I'm willing to give you another week to complete it, I just need to see something scheduled.

Well, I beat Andy in our showdown of undefeateds. "Beat" isn't really the right word. Stumbled upon a win is more like it. He said he got hosed by the game when he chose to go one way on Colosseum II and the game made him go another way. I believe him. Had he gone the right way, he'd have been able to blast my Level 4 Nike with his Hardrock Dragon. He ended up landing on it instead and paying me a bunch of G.

Not sure what to do, I offered to replay the match, but he says I win, so I guess I win. It kind of feels like beating Rafael Nadal in tennis because he got a leg cramp and couldn't continue, though. Maybe we'll meet again in the final.

Yep, you win... I'm looking at it like a disconnect. You had a healthy lead when it happened, so you win. Not sure I'd have been able to hold that yellow land with my Seismodon anyway.

I'm hoping Sunday or Monday we'll be able to fit it in. Depends on Jasoya's schedule though. Shouldn't be too long now that we'll both be home.

it would have to be this upcoming Monday night because I am quite busy from now up until then.

I'm extending the deadline to August 8th for those still needing to complete their matches.

Just to update Jasoya and I attempted to get our match in. We DC'd 3 times and were going to try again in the near future.

Another update: Jasoya and I tried to get our match in yet again, DC'd at the VERY end so frustrating but too close to call.

We will be trying again Wednesday and/or Thursday.

And Jasoya and I DC'd again. This time the internet in my area went out (this was verified as I angrily texted friends in the neighborhood to see if theirs was down as well, and it was).

Then I missed out on our meeting last night.

SO since the last 2 misses were my fault, and I work OT the next 3 days and won't be able to make the Aug 21st deadline, I concede to Jasoya.

Derceto I was actually going to concede to you because my schedule is going to be more hectic starting Tomorrow since I am entering into Purdue. This is my schedule for my Fall Semester

during the time in between classes I will be on campus away from the 360 during the times that are in my class schedule. I will be heading to bed no later than 11:00pm EST so I will not be accepting matches past 10:00pm EST, and depending on how much course work or reading material I have on a particular night could result in sudden match cancellations. so 7pm-10pmEST is your time window to get a match in with me for the Week-days. For Saturday, I will not be able to do matches from 4:00pm-9:00pm EST until September 24. For Sunday I will not be able to do matches until after 2:00pm. Again just like the week-days, Saturday and Sunday I will be heading to bed at 11:00pm. Derceto if your schedule is more forgiving than mine for the other players you probably should continue on in this tourney.

There is a ton of overtime at work right now but it doesn't really affect my availability too much -- I'll still be fully available every 2 days out of 6... It's up to you.

I'm going to need to withdraw from this league and concede any remaining matches, unfortunately. My schedule was already pretty restrictive, and with high school football season starting, I've lost Friday to a changed work schedule on top of that. I know this disappoints, and I'm sorry, but it's unavoidable.

Dirk and I played our semifinal match with Dirk as the victor 7638-3578. The random map was Kargad and Dirk chose blue/yellow while I chose red/green. I was out to a very promising start, playing the symbol game and quickly getting a level 3 angostura in the top section. Dirk played a Senility on my Angostura as expected. Unfortunately for me, he immediately rolled onto the square before I could get rid of the enchantment. That put the game in his favor and I never could quite recover. I had some nice stuff going on the lower two tiers, but Dirk dominated the top tier which is definitely the key to victory on Kargad.

Great game Dirk and I look forward to hearing about your match with Derceto. You're both superb players and I can't wait to see who brings home the title!

Yeah, I got up a pretty good head of steam. Yo managed to level up two pretty good lands, and I was able to take them both and hold them while using my G to chain everything together. At one point, I screwed up and lost my Boomerang b/c I forgot his Lava Worm (Wurm? can't remember) could use weapons.

Yo had a little murderer's row going on in the third tier, with about three strong creatures all right next to each other, but I luckily was able to win before he got a chance to level them all up and make them really expensive.
