Culdcept Saga - Player Decks

Point 20 Five (G, 16/10/24)

This deck is solely built around Spiny Agama. And no, Gas Cloud didn't make cut. Reason being, I wanted an all Green team. Here's the layout...

1 Brontides
3 Hypno Sloth
3 Lichenoid
3 Sakuya
4 Spiny Agama
2 Spudfolk

4 Catapult
4 Long Bow
2 Silver Plow

2 Greed
2 Holy Word 0
2 Holy Word 1
3 Hustle
2 Land Drain
2 Poison Mind
1 Revival
3 Sinking Song
2 Telegnosis
3 Tough Song
2 Wind of Hope

Needless to say, your ultimate goal is to have a fat juicy Spiny Agama enchanted with Greed or Hustle. However, he's not the only one on the team. It doesn't make sense to me to have one creature with a HP of 100 and all others suffer. There's an entire team and every single one of your creatures are important. With that said, boost your creatures evenly. All your creatures are either 30 or 40 HP and they all benefit from Sinking Song, Tough Song, both enchantments, and all items. So it's critical to boost evenly. Realistically, you should be fine with having your creature's HP boosted to 60/80. So, use Lichenoid when possible.

Play Greed and Hustle when you can. Hustle goes well with all your creatures. Especially with Spud, Hypno, and Spiny. I've actually defended and won with Hustle on Spud and Hypno while equipping with Sliver Plow. Very nice.

Use Hypno Sloth, Holy Word 1, and Holy Word 0 to manage your opponent's movement. These spells aren't just for having your opponent land on your territory. You want to slow them down whenever you can. When they're slow dragging around the map and your zipping around the map, what do you think is going to happen? Frustration starts to set in. Frustration is a very powerful emotion. When people get frustrated, they get pissed and controllers start flying. Advantage you.

Keep two things in mind with Hypno:

He's Immediate and you can trigger his TA when he comes into play. There's going to be times when you're going to want that 1 move and don't have Telegnosis. You can always exchange creatures and trigger Hypno's TA that way.

Sinking Song and Tough Song are incredibly diesel with this deck! Everyone knows the combo... Sinking Song and Spiny Agama.

Spiny reflects 50% of damage. With Sinking Song cast, you only receive .25 damage. Diesel!

With Tough Song cast, you get +20 on HP and your Hustled Creatures gets a grand total +50 HP. More dieselness!

Pay very close attention to what Songs are in play. Avoid from overriding spells and cast your Songs when your opponent is close by.

Let's not forget the Brontides!! Every HP boost counts and it's vital you get him in play ASAP! Whether it's from your hand or you evolve him from Spiny, get him down! He's a juggernaut defender and his HP boost of 10 is very helpful.

As always, have fun with this deck and thanks for reading :-)
