Home Map: The Heavenly Altar

This deck has a 1-on-1 deck and creature control theme. Here's how you use this deck. Use Wizard Eye to take countless peeks at your opponent’s book and see his or her theme and if he has anything worth destroying before it goes into his hand. If so use either Mind Seeker (by knowing the target card's next position upon the player's next draw step) or Despair (just wait until the target card(s) is/are next in line and hit the player with Despair to get rid of it/them); if you ever see Revival in the opponent’s deck, get rid of it pronto before it ruins your plans. In the meantime, get Marble Idol out and cast Land Protection on it. Set Book Worm where you can use its ability to destroy creatures or troublesome spells that the player has in his hand, and use Telegnosis and/or Relief to access its ability sooner. Cast Goblin's Lair at least twice to set things up to ruin the opponent. Use Changeling to randomly change the opponent’s cards in his or her book into Goblins (note that this includes the newly-changed Goblins. So, frequently check how many cards are left in the opponent's book and use Wizard Eye to find see if you need to cast it yet). If your opponent has some creatures out on the field, use Evil Blast and Magic Bolt to destroy them and use Raise Dead to bring those creatures to your hand to summon under your control and with Marble Idol in play they can't summon that creature anymore unless the Idol or the creature is destroyed. Once you have almost total control of your opponent, spam Powder Eaters and Goblins and level up territories to finish the game with another win under your belt.

Overall, I am surprised at how well this deck plays and it's definitely no fun to play against (unless you like running the idea running around the board doing nothing for a dozen rounds). It may be a slow starter, but once it gets rolling it is difficult to stop unless it's your opponent's lucky day. It thrives on forcing the opponent to slow down the opponent to a complete dead stop (if you have not already won the game by then, lol).

Its only true weaknesses are Mass Damage decks and Land Protected/untargetable creatures.
